Outraged of Chania
Claire has made her way to Chania (or Hania or Xania) now, and I've been getting the first reports back to me, stuck here still in Salzburg. It seems that everything is OK with the house, the money we transferred to our Greek bank arrived, and our furniture is due any day now.
The lemon tree survived the winter, and apparently the three fruit on it survived as well, and have turned yellow.
The only outrage though, is the rise in the cost of living. Shocking news - the price of the bus into town has risen from €0.75 to €0.80.
Which means these bus tickets I have been carrying around in my wallet for six months are now useless. D'oh!
