The lions of Munich

It doesn't matter whether it was bears in Berlin, winged rhinos in Dortmund, or lions in Munich, it seems that no German city is complete without animal themed street furniture.

Rather like with the creepy wicker figurines in Austria, it does make me wonder how our German and Austrian European cousins react when they visit the UK.

"Sure, London was very nice, but do you know the strangest thing? They don't have any large, camp, multi-coloured fibre-glass animals on their street corners! How weird is that?"
