A white Christmas? Please?

That is the view from the stop where we get the bus into town, with the Untersberg looming out of the evening gloom. The picture illustrates that the snow is yet to arrive in Salzburg, and so one of my main selling points of being in Austria over the winter - a guaranteed white Christmas for Claire - looks like it won't be happening.
At the moment the forecast says there is a chance of snow on Thursday, but with two sunny days after that it might not stay. In fact, we might end up with more chance of it being snowy in Munich, where we will be spending Christmas itself - there should be snow there on Thursday as well, followed by a couple of overcast days with maximum temperatures below freezing. Brrrrrr!
