If it is Tuesday, it must be München
Having woken up in Budapest early on Sunday morning and travelled back to Salzburg, on Tuesday morning I was picked up from our guest house at 7am to be driven to Munich for a business meeting.
I had been looking forward to seeing a bit of the city, but as some of the people were flying in from Brussels, and others had to fly to London directly after our meeting, we met at a hotel at München airport.
Well, I understand how the hotel claims to be at München Airport – it is right in the middle of it – but I'm not sure how the airport claims to be in München. It was a good 45 minutes on the highway further on from where you would turn off for Munich when heading from Salzburg.
In fact I didn’t get to see much of Germany at all, as there was a very thick mist which pretty much covered up everything except the road ahead all the way there. I did though get to quietly sing "Wir fahr'n fahr'n fahr'n auf der Autobahn" to myself quietly whilst I was driven down a German autobahn, which ticks off another one of those 101 things to do before I die boxes.
