Konstantinos Kriaris statue in Plateia 1866

03statuekriaris

This statue in Hania's Plateia 1866 depicts Konstantinos Kriaris (given as Κωνστ. Γ. Κριαρες on the statue). He is named in my 'History of Crete' book, and identified on the plinth of his staue, as the leader during 1866 for Selino. That is all I know about him, except the fact that he also has a statue dedicated to him in Paleohora which we saw on our recent trip there.
