Prang!

Prang During the time we have been in Germaniko Pouli the local municipality have been paving and improving the roads. When we moved to our house pretty much the whole of the main road was banked by a dirt track for pedestrians. Now it is beautifully paved, with street-lighting, rubbish bins, and, this week, they also planted trees along the route.

It is still one of the most dangerous roads I have ever lived nearby - and don't forget I used to live in London - and an absolute nightmare to cross during rush-hour. And most other hours come to that.

There seems to be an accident on the bend near us ever few days - as evidenced by this lamp-post. It has only been in place for a couple of weeks, but already it has met its metaphorical maker.

Prang!
