We have an office

Theoffice So yesterday we finally started the process of moving into the "other" room in our house with the purchase of a desk. We've got a perfectly good desk in storage in the UK, but we don't know when we'll be able to move it here, so for €145 we picked this one up. It just gives us the option of using the 2nd room, and, perhaps more importantly, stops me using the dining room table as a desk, with the mess of papers and gadgets that goes with that. Just a shame i don't actually have any employment at the moment in order to make use of it.

It was a bit of a pain getting it delivered. The signal to our mobile phone is very weak at the house, so between that and the poor respective command of English and Greek between me and the delivery guy, it was a struggle to direct them. In the end he just said "I'll be in Germaniko Pouli in ten minutes" (after also saying one of our favourite Greek catchphrases "I don't listen to you"). I ran down the road and waited for a truck to go past with a desk on the back of it, and flagged it down. So I guess it was our desk anyway....;-)
