Bomb attack on Greek minister Giorgos Voulgarakis

The plot thickened considerably yesterday in both the Greek phone-tapping and Pakistani abduction cases. Greek Culture Minister Giorgos Voulgarakis was subject to an attempted assasination when a bomb went off along his usual route to and from work, just minutes before he was due to pass it. Although now Culture Minister, he was the public order minister at the time of both the phone-tapping and the abductions. Left-wing extremists Επαναστατικοσ Αγονας (Revolutionary Struggle) are suspected as being responsible by commentators over here.
