Snowy Salzburg at last

20070319_snowyuntersberg I understand from Claire that back in the UK yesterday you had a smattering of the magic white dust. And no, I don't mean Colombian marching powder.

Well, we had a sudden cold snap and snow here too in Salzburg. It was greeted not with transport chaos, but with sullen disdain along the lines of "You don't show up for the whole of our winter sport tourist season, and now you snow".

Being British, I couldn't help but make a fool of myself. I took my usual short-cut up the grassy slope in front of the office, didn't have properly equipped winter shoes, and before you knew it, I was rolling around the floor in the snow in front of Sony like a giant beetle that can't get off its back. That's dignity for you!

In fairness, it would have been slightly churlish to spend the whole winter in Salzburg and not end up @r$e-over-t!t in the snow.

The office looks amazing in the snow though, like a giant mysterious reflective black box left there by alien travellors from the future.

Or maybe I just banged my head when I fell over...?
