Our lion - Stinki

I mentioned yesterday that we visited the flohmarkt at Salzburg Zoo, and that it was a bit of a let down and that we didn't buy anything.

The whole event was in aid of raising funds to build a new enclosure for the zoo's lion. He can usually be found looking a bit forlorn sitting under a wooden umbrella style shed keeping him out of the Austrian weather.

What we didn't realise until we visited the flohmarkt was his name - Stinki

And, I wonder just how he got that name?
