Exhibition of Traditional Cretan Textiles in Hania

From the 10th to the 17th July the Old Mosque on the harbour has been home to an exhibition of "Traditional Cretan Textiles". It featured lace-making and embroidery, and I briefly put my head around the door when my parents were visiting. I can't say it was really my cup of tea.

It was put together by the Saïta shop, which is based around the corner in Hania on Kal Sarpaki.

I wasn't expecting there to be a live exhibit as part of the displays - but by the door they had a basket of wriggling silk worms.
