Wildlife at Lefka Apartments

Kittens Whilst they were visiting us J. & V. stayed at Lefka Apartments, just down the road from our house. It turned out to be quite a haven for wildlife. When they first arrived one of the resident cats, Josephine, was pregnant, and during the week gave birth to three kittens.

They were discovered by accident when one of the staff was watering the plants - Josephine had made a nest for them in the largest flower pots on a set of stairs going up to the apartments.

Yesterday, whilst Josephine was strolling around looking for food, Claire and I took the opportunity to sneak up and snatch a couple of pictures of the three-day old kittens.

That wasn't the only wildlife. Each evening, when we were sitting on the balcony of the apartments, we were treated to the sight of a gorgeous pair of owls flying to and fro from an abandoned building across the way from Lefka, as well as the bats circling over the swimming pool. It is certainly the closest I've ever been to an owl in the wild.
