Red devils space capsule

ReddevilsspacecapsuleLooking like some kind of Anton Corbijn inspired prop from Depeche Mode's "Music For The Masses" period, we have no idea what this thing perching on the hill above the beach near us is, so have taken to calling it the "Red Devils Space Capsule".

It looks like thought like it might be a crashed space probe.

The 'Red Devils' insignia on the side has probably been done subsequently to the wreck arriving on the hillside - one of the local teams claims that original nickname.

On the other hand, I suppose it could be evidence of a failed attempt by either Manchester United or AC Milan to put their satellite TV stations into orbit.
